Rev. Col. Melvin E. Witt, United States Air Force (Ret)

The family of Rev. Col. Melvin E. Witt has requested that we stand tall and silent in a flag line of respect and honor prior to the services for their loved one. It will be our privilege and honor to do so.

During his over 20 years of service to our country in the USAF as a Chaplin, including time during the war in Vietnam & Korea. Hero Witt earned and was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Korean Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal w/1 OLC, National Defense Service Medal w/1 BSS (Korea & Vietnam), United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award w/4 OLC, Armed Forces Reserve Medal and the Meritorious Service Award.

Escort: At the conclusion of the funeral services we will escort our hero and his family to the Hallowed grounds of Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for full military honors. (Slot time 1130 hrs (11:30 am))

Weather: Current forecasts calls for clear skies with temps in the 70’s. Ride safe, ride defensively. Cages welcome!
