Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders,
We have been requested by the Family of Colonel David “Bert” Underwood to stand a Flag line at his Memorial and Graveside Services, with Full Military Honors.
Bert was commissioned as a 2nd LT after graduating from Washington State College in 1954. He served over 23 years in the Air Force, achieving the rank of Colonel. His duty stations include Vance AFB, Yokota AFB, Tokyo Japan, Langley AFB, Saigon Vietnam, The Pentagon, The US Army War College and Tinker AFB. Colonel Underwood flew the C-124 Globemaster where he did reconnaissance flights over Vietnam. He was also charged with organizing the first AWACS Squadron as they came online with the Air Force in the 1970’s. His son, David Underwood Jr., is a member of the Patriot Guard.

10:20am: Briefing
10:30am: KSU
10:45am: Flag Line in place
11:30am: Memorial Service begins
At he Commencement of the Memorial Service, the PGR will move to the Burial site and re-establish a Flag line and await the arrival of Colonel Underwood and his family and Guests
12:30pm: Burial Service begins
The Patriot Guard will stand down at the conclusion of Military Honors.
