United States Army Air Corps – WWII – POW
3-26-2016
Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of Coda Clyde Roberson to honor a fallen veteran and brother. After graduation from high school, he joined the Army Air Corp just before World War II started. During the war, he was captured in the Philippines and survived the horrible Bataan Death March. He was one of many prisoners who were sent to Japan and forced into slave labor. There he worked 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for three and a half years. He survived his capture and returned to Albuquerque where he married his former wife Dorothy, and had 3 sons. He was a prominent homebuilder and built thousands of homes in New Mexico. He became the first president of the Home Builders Association.
