The family of U.S. Air Force CMSgt (Ret) Walter Lawrence Luster, Jr. has requested the Patriot Guard Riders honor him for his many years of honorable and dedicated service to our country.
Chief Master Sergeant Luster enlisted in the USAF in May 1952 and retired in October 1976, having served in Korea, Japan, North Africa, Greenland, Thailand, Turkey and several US Air Bases. He served in 3 campaigns and his citations and awards include the Bronze Star and the Meritorious Service Medal.
After his USAF retirement he worked with the United States Postal Service and retired from the Waterways Experiment Station after 15 years service.
PRIMARY STAGING: Saturday 28 May 2016 at 10:00 am at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 1512 Main St., Vicksburg, MS 39183
The PGR will provide a silent US flag line until the beginning of the funeral service at 11:00 am.
ESCORT: Immediately following the funeral service the PGR will escort CMS Luster to the Lillian Luster Family Cemetery in Vicksburg and provide a silent US flag line for the graveside service.
NOTE: The escort distance is less than 10 miles, large motorcycle mounted US Flags are encouraged.
