DESCRIPTION:CMSgt Robert Lee Garvin 92\, USAF (Ret)\, WWll\, Barstow\, CA – 19 FEB 14 \nThe family of Air Force veteran Robert Lee Garvin has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in honoring this American Hero; we are honored to do so. \nCMSgt Garvin was in the USAAC/USAF from 24 JAN 1946 until his retirement on 31 AUG 1970.  He was also in the AF reserves\, totaling 30 years of service.  He retired at the rank of CMSgt. \nCMSgt Garvin’s passion in life was music.  While serving in the Air Force he was recognized as an outstanding musician.  He was in charge of developing the Airmen’s’ Chorus while he was serving in Italy and continued to perform and serve as choir director in many church events. His son Timothy Garvin has followed in his footsteps regarding music and has taught music for 30 years as well. \nCMSgt Garvin is survived his wife Arlene F. Dillard-Garvin\, four children\, two stepchildren\, 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. \nThere will be a flag line ONLY at Mead Mortuary\, 19 FEB 2014\, 0800. \nNOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero.
