He was born January 21\, 1948 in Springdale\, Arkansas the son of the late Lloyd and Burdena Harviston Bowers. He was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church\, the VFW\, the Northwest Arkansas Hill County Jammers and the Arkansas State Old Time Fiddlers Association. He enjoyed woodworking\, fishing\, and playing music and loved his family and his church. He is preceded by his parents\, a daughter and a sister.
