ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Clayton Ellingson has asked the Patriot Guard to show honor and respect for Clayton. He enlisted along with his brother in the US Navy and attended boot camp in Great Lakes, Illinois. After boot camp, the twins were separated, with his brother Clifton going to radar school and Clayton to Georgia to US Navy Midshipmen Service. After 30 days he was shipped overseas to the South Pacific and was assigned to USS LCI 731 Landing Craft Infantry in China. He spent the last 6 months of the war in Shanghai, China, Guam, Saipan, Johnston, Wake and Hawaii Islands. He then went to San Diego to decommission the ship and then to Swan Island, Oregon, to be honorably discharged in July 1946. Clayton was able to travel on a World War II Honor Flight for two days where he toured the memorials in Washington, DC

If anyone has health problems or is sick, PLEASE keep yourself safe and not attend the missions. This is your choice and we will respect that decision. At this time refrain from shaking hands and giving hugs, this includes the people attending the service.
Since spring is upon us, we can stand outside in the fresh air. Please stand 7 feet apart. Please use all responsible personal hygiene practices.
