ABOUT THE MISSION:
Patriots, we have been invited to pay Honor and show Respect for one of America’s Greatest Generation. Clay King is having a birthday, his 93rd and Dare County FD and PD have put together a birthday celebration parade to show Honor and Respect for his service to our country. Mr. King served in WWII aboard the USS Runels, DE-793, in both the European and Pacific theaters of action. He was aboard the Runels in Tokyo Bay, during the surrender of Japan. After the end of WWII he continued to serve in the Navy and spent many a gloomy cold night off the coast of Korea during the Korean conflict. Join us and show we appreciate him.

This is a HOTH Mission. We will stage at the N.C. Welcome Center, NLT 7:15 AM.
KSU: 7:30 AM, to proceed to Kill Devil Hills where we will meet with other groups and the Dare County PD and FDs. Those wishing to go directly to the Kill Devil Hills staging point, Outer Banks Baptist Church, 216 W 1st. St., Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948, meet NLT 9:00 AM. We will ride as a group in the parade to honor Mr. King. We will ride past Mr. King’s residence in procession with flags flying and horns blaring to show our support, love, respect and appreciation for his contribution to ensuring our freedoms. During this COVID-19 pandemic, safety is of the utmost importance. If you have exhibited any symptoms associated with this virus in the past 14 days, please reconsider your attendance. Each member is responsible for his or her own safety and health during the mission. The PGR assumes no responsibility for your well being.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
