US Navy WWII Veteran

It is a most distinct honor and a privilege for the Patriot Guard Riders, at the family’s request, to escort United States Navy WWII veteran Claude Robert Wall, 90, to his final resting place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.
Veteran Wall proudly served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946. During his service he attained the rank of Seaman First Class and served aboard the USS Idaho (BB-42) and the USS Cleburne (APA 73), as well as several Naval Air Station (NAS) and Naval Training Station (NAVTRASTA) assignments stateside. He was awarded commendations including the Victory Medal, the American Area Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal.
Seaman Wall, a grateful nation thanks you and is indebted to you for your honorable service. Your sacrifices grant us the freedoms we continue to enjoy to this very day. Thank you and Godspeed.
