ABOUT THE MISSION:

Christopher Eric Ewing was born April 7, 1986. He joined the U.S. Air Force Reserves in March 2005 with the 94th APS Reserve Unit at Robbins AFB. He served tours of duty in Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bagram. In 2014 he became a member of the Base Honor Guard at Dobbins ARB, Marietta. Continuing his calling to serve, he joined the Smyrna, Georgia Police Department in July 2018. The Patriot Guard has been requested to be part of honoring Officer Ewing. We will be a part of an escort procession involving the hearse, Law Enforcement Motors and the family. We will be joined by members of the Combat Veterans as well as the American Legion Riders. A separate group will stand a flag line of honor and respect close to the entrance to Truist Park (SunTrust Park) for the arrival of the procession. Our involvement will only be the escort and the flag line outside the park.

We will have a short briefing covering details and safety and then get lined up for departure. KSU is scheduled for 9 am. When we arrive at Truist Park we will not enter the stadium. We will continue on Circle 75 Pkwy and depart.

This is the flag line staging. Stage in the parking lot. The presentation and visual of the flag line of honor and respect, as the family arrives in the procession, is most important. After briefing the flag line will be established at the direction of the RCIC along Circle 75 Pkwy to await the arrival of the procession.
