It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that America has lost another true American hero. The family of retired Chief of Police of Montgomery, John H. Wilson III, has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of his life of service to the citizens of our community and state. John joined the Montgomery Police Department in 1976 at the age of 22 and rose through the ranks until promoted to Chief of Police just 10 years later. He service as the Chief of Police for 19 years until he retired in 2007. He was known for his wit and generosity, his dedication to his community and his deep expression of faith in God.
Patriot Guard Riders will stand in his honor at his memorial service at Frazer United Methodist Church, 6000 Atlanta Hwy, Montgomery.
