Charles William Roberts, Veteran

ABOUT THE MISSION:

We have the privilege of honoring US Army SGT Charles William Roberts, Vietnam era Veteran. Charles was born Feb 4, 1946 in Pine Bluff. He graduated from McGehee HS in 1964 and University of Arkansas in 1969 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Charles joined the Army Oct 24, 69 and was Honorably Discharged Apr 24, 72. Medals include the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Two Overseas Bars, and Rifle-Expert. Charles was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved the outdoors and traveling. He enjoyed motorcycles but didn’t have much chance to ride. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, 3 sons, 1 daughter, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 1 brother.
