Charles William Gill Comment

  1. 09 June 2020 – Mission Complete: Charles William Gill, USA Vietnam Veteran, Ardmore, OK

I want to thank all who made the mission today to honor Charles William Gill, USA Vietnam Veteran.

On a hot windy day, we had 9 bikes/trikes and 9 PGR members present to honor Mr. Gill

We started the mission by pre-staking flags at Rose Hill Cemetery. After arriving at the funeral home, we staked flags at the funeral home. A briefing was held than we stood the flag line as family and friends arrived.

After the services ended, we stood an honor line as they moved Mr. Gill from the Chapel to the coach. We than accompanied Mr. Gill family and friends to Rose Hill Cemetery. We stood another honor line as they moved Mr. Gill from the coach to the gravesite.

The preacher than read a short sermon and said a prayer. The Patriot Guard Riders conducted military honors. They played Taps, folded and presented the flag to Mrs. Gill. The PGR than presented the Invocation Mrs. Gill. The PGR plaque will be delivered at a later date.

A special thank you to Army Vietnam Veteran Charles Gill for your dedicated service to our country and protecting it’s freedoms
