ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of hero Charles Vernon Lenger has honored the Patriot Guard Riders with a request to stand a flag line and escort to his final rest. Vernon was born on April 14, 1933 in Prairie Home, Mo. to Waldemar and Louise Lenger (Stock). Following graduation from Prairie Home High School in 1951, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served for one year in Korea achieving the rank of Corporal with decorated service. His pride in Military Service was recently displayed when he was a member of the Central Missouri Honor Flight that took him to Washington D.C. to visit the monuments and memorials with fellow veterans – – – an experience of a lifetime.
