Honor Mission
Charles Thomas Womble, Veteran
Augusta, Georgia – 12-02-19


The local unaccompanied veterans burial program coordinator has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to stand as family for this veteran. We have advised them it will be our honor to stand for PV2 Charles Womble. PV2 Womble was an enlisted veteran who served in the United States Army in 1976. He served as a Telegraphic Typewriter Operator at Fort Lewis, WA.

Special Instructions:

After the briefing, we will stand a flag line as guests arrive for the 10:30am service. Those who wish to attend the service are welcome to do so. After the service, we will render honors as our hero is loaded into the hearse for his final journey to the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia. Although there is no official escort as part of this mission and depending on the weather conditions on Monday, some of us will be accompanying PV2 Womble to his final resting place in Milledgeville. If you plan on riding and flying large bike flags, make sure they are capable of highway speeds.

Water will be provided.
