Honor Mission
Charles M. Lass, Veteran
USN – LEO, Korea

Charlie Lass served four years in the US Navy from 1953 – 1957. He was a Korean War Veteran and received the National Defense Medal, a Good Conduct Medal and the Korean Service Medal for his service to our country. After his discharge from the Navy Charlie joined the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department. Following an on duty incident where the car he was in was struck by a train in June 1963 he was medically retired in 1964. It is now our turn to stand for this hero as he stood for us in the past.

We will stand a flag line as family and guests arrive for the 2 pm service. Once the service begins we will stand down and prepare to accompany the LEO led procession to Westview Cemetery in Augusta for interment.
