Mitchell Lead crew mission 73); With 2Lt Paul W. Campbell (Mission 77). Completed combat tour on 10 Oct 1943 (Mission 77). 4 confirmed kills. Bronze star\, Silver star\, Distinguished Flying Cross 1941-1943 B17 F top gunner and navigator\, Shot down twice\, Captured once\, was released by the Russians early in the war.
