ABOUT THE MISSION:

It is with deep regret that I announce that we have lost another Veteran, Charles Schryver Jr. The Patriot Guard has been graciously invited by the family to escort him to his final resting place and stand a silent flag line in his honor at Barrancas National Cemetery. AMH3 Schryver honorably served in the United States Navy for 3 years 8 months and departed this earth at age 72. He received the following awards: the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Unit Commendation. Honors will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Special Instructions:

NAS requires long sleeve shirts and trousers, long-fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and proper eye protection when riding on the base.
8:00 AM   – Safety briefing for all riders
8:15  AM   – KSU to Trahan Funeral Home
8:30 AM  –  Arrival at Trahan’s
9:00 AM  –  KSU to BNC w/LEO Escort
10:00 AM – Honors at BNC Site A
Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.

May family and friends find strength in acknowledgement that Charles Schryver, having served this nation honorably, was willing to sacrifice all that another might taste or maintain liberty and stood courageously where few dared tread and for such dedication to nation, duty, and service rendered, is so remembered and honored among patriots. Please accept my sincere condolences.
