The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family of SFC Charlie Greenslade to stand in silent honor of his service to our country at Albert G. Horton Cemetery. Charles was born July 8\, 1948 in New York and passed away on May 24\, 2019. Charlie served his country in the US Air Force from 1970 to 1974 with 2 tours in Vietnam. Mr. Greenslade spent two years in the reserves and then joined the US Army in 1977 as a cargo specialist with more tours in Iraq during the Gulf War. He spent the next sixteen years until his honorable retirement in 1993. Most knew him for his love of community sports and others\, for the jokes he flooded the room with.
