ABOUT THE MISSION:

Fellow Riders, America has lost another true American HERO. The family of Charles Edward York has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand for their loved one. Charles Edward York served in the U. S. Marine Corps for 3 years and 2 days. He passed away at the age of 76. Mr. York was an active member of American Legion Post 76 here in Mobile. His awards and commendations include National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ device, Good Conduct Medal, and an Honorable Discharge. American Legion Riders from Post 76, Post 88 and Post 199 will join in the escort. Mr. York stood many a hard day and night so that we might be safe and free. Now it is our turn to stand and honor him for his service and sacrifice. Ride safely!

Final Salute: As he is placed in hearse.
Escort: +/- 1:30 p.m. to Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, AL
Interment: 2:30 p.m.
LEO (2-Constables) will escort.
