Mr. Charlie Schlock, age 65 of Hartwell, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2016 at his home.

Born on November 25, 1950 in Anderson, S.C., he was the son of the late Jack Schlock and Ruth Bates Schlock. Charlie retired from Royston Police Dept., on April 13, 2013. He worked as a communication officer with Hart County, Franklin County and Royston P.D. He also was Jail Administrator under Sheriff Bob Cordell. He had 35 years of service with Law Enforcement. Charlie was an Army Veteran in Korea on the DMZ, in 1969 with the 2nd Division and 1st and 9th Infantry. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 109 in Hartwell.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Four O’Clock p.m. at
Oak Bower Baptist Church
1589 Old Highway 29
Hartwell, Ga. 30643.

Burial will be at
Nancy Hart Memorial Park
1171 Royston Highway
Hartwell, GA.

Military honors provided by American Legion Post 109.

We will stand a flag line before the service from 3:00-4:00pm. Upon conclusion of the service, we will provide escort to the graveside service at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
