Charles “Chuck” Straw, Retired

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Mr. Charles “Chuck” Straw, 71, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders’ presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest.
Mr. Straw faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army for 20+ years while performing duties as Medium Helicopter Repairer (CH-47). Mr. Straw not only served three tour-of-duties in Vietnam but also served in Panama, Germany, and South Korea. Upon completion of his service, Mr. Straw received an Honorable Discharge and during his time in service, he received a Bronze Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Palm, Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation, Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (3), Vietnam Service Medal, Senior Aircraft Crewman Badge, Expert Marksmanship Ribbon (M-16), Marksmanship Ribbon (M-14), Army Commendation Medal w/3 O/S Bars and a Good Conduct Medal (sixth award).
Please bring your 3X5 American Flags and stand in honor and respect for our U.S. Army Veteran and his family.
