ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Sergeant Chad E Jenson has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Chad Elliott Jenson, 25, grew up in Redondo Beach, CA where his family still resides. He was a standout football player at Mira Costa High School where he helped his team win a championship in 2009.
Sgt Jenson was with the 2nd Raider Battalion, Special Operations Command, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. For his honorable service he was awarded the U.S. Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, A Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit commendation, two certificates of commendation, three letters of appreciation and two meritorious masts.
Sadly, this hero was among the group killed when their KC-130 Hercules aircraft crashed in western Mississippi on 10 JULY 2017.
Sgt Jenson is survived by his parents, his brother, his wife and a stepson.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the airport to the mortuary. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the mortuary, we will meet you there.
Each motorcycle rider should have registration, proof of insurance. You should also wear hard sole shoes, long pants, full-fingered gloves, a long sleeve outer garment, eye protection, and a DOT helmet. A brightly colored reflective vest is no longer needed but recommended. Have your I.D. ready when you arrive at the gate.
