DESCRIPTION:Dedication\nCentral Nebraska Veterans Home\nKearney\, Nebraska – 08-25-18\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nThe Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Central Nebraska Veterans Home.  Tours of the new state of the art facility will follow the ceremony.   Features that will be available for residents include separate bathrooms for each room\, outdoor patios\, a pond for fishing\, a chapel\, wood and ceramic shops\, library and brand new technology.  . The buildings are set up as communities and homes.  The communities are connected by hallways and each community has homes with rooms for the residents.\n\n\nPRIMARY STAGING DETAILS: 08-25-18 \nStaging Time: 08:00 a.m. \nParking lot- West side of Airport Road – just South of 56th St.\nKearney\, Nebraska\nMap\n\n\nRide Captain: \nStacey Erstrom\nserstrom@gmail.com\n308-870-1649\n\n\nSpecial Instructions: \nDirections:  On Highway 30 east of Kearney\, turn north on Airport Road.  Go north past Cessna Road to a hard-packed gravel parking lot north of an unoccupied manufacturing facility. The entrance to the parking lot is on the west side of Airport Road\, just north and across from the Rodgers Helicopter Service sign.\n\nRiders’ meeting:  8:40 am\nClutches out:  9:00 am sharp w/sheriff escort\n\nImportant:  Anyone arriving after the 9:00 am sharp departure from the parking lot to go over to the CNVH will not be included in this group and will have to deal with the traffic and potentially not be admitted on site.  No cages will be allowed to enter with the motorcycles.\n\nETA: 9:10 am Central Nebraska Veterans Home\, 4510 East 56th Street\, Kearney\, NE 68847\n\nFlag line:  9:20 am.  Flag line will form on either side of the ceremony seating area\n\nCeremony:  10:00 am.  The ceremony is tentatively scheduled to last about 30 minutes.  No motorcycles will be permitted to enter the property except with the escorted group at 9 am.\n\nImportant:  With the exception of 9AM escorted motorcycles whose riders are participating in the flag line and ceremony\, there will be no public parking on the facility campus.  Parking with shuttle service will be available from the lots at the Patriot Park ball fields located directly across the street south of CNVH\, and the Kearney Regional Airport on 56th and Airport Road.  Shuttles from the National Guard Armory parking lot for veterans and disabled will also be available.\n\nAssisting:  Kimberly Schaefer\, kdschaefer60@gmail.com\, 402-779-5003; Roger Imler\, roger.imler@hotmail.com\, 308-379-7441; Henry Russell\, hrussell1648@gmail.com\, 308-530-9836\n\nFlag detail:  Billy Rayburn Call/Text 308-440-4645\n\n\nFlags & Water:\nFlags will be provided\nLarge Bike Flags will NOT be needed.\nWater will be provided.\n\n\n\nSubmitted By: Scott Knudsen \nPosition: Nebraska State Captain \n\nNote: You do not have to own/ride a motorcycle or be a veteran to join\, and membership is Free.
