ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Family of Cecil Leroy Robertson, 73, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor and to escort their loved one to his final resting place. Cecil was born in Kirksville, but he and his wife were residing in O’Fallon, MO at the time of his passing. He worked as a Systems Analyst for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis before joining the Army on 13 January 1970. Cecil served in the Washington, DC area as computer programmer with the Army Security Agency. The ASA required top secret clearance and was essential in monitoring the enemy during the Vietnam War. Cecil was honorably discharged on 15 January 1973. He attained the rank of Specialist 5(E-5), and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Expert Qualified Badge with M-16 Rifle Bar. *Cecil told his brother, Craig Robertson (PGR member), that when it was his time, he wanted the Patriot Guard Riders*

Service: 1:30 PM, escort following to Park View Memorial Gardens, 2100 E Shepard Ave, Kirksville, MO.
Long range forecast to be in the 40’s with 40% chance of rain. Escort on all paved roads but cemetery is gravel. Use discretion, but would recommend cages. Marking for big flag bikes, but depending on conditions that day. Covid guidelines will be followed.
