ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of WWII Veteran Carroll E Landstrom, 90, USN, of Axtell, Nebraska, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders provide a flag Line at his funeral service in Axtell, Nebraska, on Thursday, April 06th at 10:30 am at Bethany Lutheran Church in rural Axtell, Nebraska and a Flag line at the Graveside service at the adjoining Bethany Lutheran Cemetery.
Veteran Landstrom enlisted into the United States Navy on January 13, 1945, and served his country during WW II as a fireman and engine room specialist aboard the U.S.S. Kwajalein (CVE-98) in the Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign. After the the war, Carroll was honorably discharged on July 19, 1946, and returned home to the family farm south of Axtell.
In October 2016, Veteran Carroll Landstrom & his grandson, Jason were privileged to go on the Dawson County Hero Flight to Washington D.C. Carroll was the only WW II Veteran on the trip, and was chosen to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The Cemetery is next to the Church.
We may not have a Ride or Flag Captain available for this Mission. Please follow the staging instructions and stand an Honor line at the entry to the church and a parameter around the guests at the graveside service. Please do not block the Honor Guard. Thank you.
