Carleton “Carl” A. Gentz, 92, of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Carl was born on August 4, 1924 in Kenosha. He graduated from Bradford High School and was a lifelong resident of Kenosha until 1986.

Carl was a WW II Veteran serving with the U.S. Army in Europe in the 553rd AAA Battalion. He held the position of cannoneer and was awarded 3 Bronze Battle Stars. The Bronze Battle Star is worn on the campaign ribbon and denotes an individual’s participation in a specific battle, engagement or offensive.
