ABOUT THE MISSION:

It is with deep regret to announce that we have lost another veteran, Lt Col Carl Walter Deems. The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family of Lt Col Deems, United States Air Force, to stand in his honor and escort him to Barrancas National Cemetery. Lt Col Deems honorably served in the United States Air Force for over 24 years and departed this earth at age 65 .Lt Col Deems received the following awards: Achievement Medal, Commendation Medal with 1 Device, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal w/3 Devices, National Defense Service Medal, Readiness Medal w/1 Device, and the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon. Honors will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Special Instructions:

NAS requires long sleeve shirts and trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and proper eye protection while riding aboard the base.

11:15 am – KSU to Trahan Family Funeral Home, 419 Yoakum Ct, Pensacola
11:30 am – Arrival at Trahan Family Funeral Home
12:00 am – KSU to BNC w/LEO escort
1:00 pm – Honors at BNC
