Sgt Smith served the United States Army honorably through the late 60’s during Vietnam. He attained the rank of E5 Sargent and was well liked with his men. After his service he returned home to a life of working and riding cutting horses which he dearly loved. Hunting and fishing were pastimes he passed on to his beloved children. In his later years he suffered side effects of Agent Orange exposure and Malaria.
