DESCRIPTION:Byron Russell Hill\, Jr.\, Veteran \nUSN ARNG – GW/ODS \nAlmond\, New York – 05 Jul 2017\n\n[HR][/HR]\nABOUT THE MISSION: \nWe have been requested to stand in Honor of the Military Service of Byron Russell Hill\, Jr.\, who passed away unexpectedly on June 23rd at the age of 53. Mr. Hill served 10 years Active Duty in the U.S. Navy\, from 1983-1992. His service included 3 years aboard the USS Coral Sea (CV-43) as an Electricians Mate\, as well as service at the Naval Submarine Support Facility\, New London\, CT. Mr. Hill was Honorably Discharged on 15 December 1992 with the rating of Electricians Mate First Class (EM1) (E-6.) For his Service to our Nation\, EM1 Hill’s awards include: Two Navy Good Conduct Medals\, National Defense Service Medal\, Two Navy Unit Commendation Awards\, Navy Expeditionary Medal\, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal\, Two Sea Service Deployment Ribbons\, Naval Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist Badge\, and a Letter of Commendation. \nIn addition to his Naval Service\, Mr. Hill also served with the Army National Guard (records not available at this time). \nPRIMARY STAGING DETAILS: 05 Jul 2017 \n \nPrimary Staging Time: 11:00 A.M.\n\nAlmond Union of Churches\n11 Main Street (Route 21)\n(Just off I-86 Almond Exit 33)\n\nAlmond\, New York – 14804 \n\nhttp://mapq.st/2uzO1Ni\n\n \nRide Captain:\n\nSkip Merrick\nmerricce@aol.com\n\n \nSpecial Instructions:\n\nStaging at 11:00\nKSU at 11:30 \nTravel to the home of Mr. Hill’s mother\, and provide Dignified Escort of mother and son back to the church. \nMemorial Service at 1:00 P.M.\nMission ends after the Service. \nNOTE: Interment with Full Military Honors will take place in the near future at Bath National Cemetery.
