The family and loved ones of hero Blaine VAN HOOSER has requested the Patriot Guard Riders honor their loved one with a flag line and escort from Greenlawn East FH to the Mo Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO
.
Hero VAN HOOSER honorably served in the US Navy during the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After his military service was completed, he returned to Missouri and attended Drury College where he obtained a double masters degree and began a short tenure as a teacher. Later, he became an adjuster for Farmers Insurance which he worked at for 25 years before his retirement. Blaine was an avid sailor and golfer.
He is survived by two sons and three step daughters, he is proceeded in death by his parents, a brother Richard, and his loving wife, Shirley.
