He worked as a Medic and  Communications NCO serving many Units (Infantry\, Armor\, Communications\,  and Special Forces.  His many awards and commendations include:  Army  Achievement Medal (5th Award)\, National Defense Medal\, NCO Professional  Development Ribbon (2)\, Army Service Ribbon\, Army Good Conduct Medal  (2nd Award)\, Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar\,  Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Pistol Bar\,  Driver and  Mechanic Badge with Driver-T Bar.
