ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Family of Brett Schafer asked the Patriot Guard Riders to show honor and respect for Brett. He was born on October 7, 1958, in Virginia, Minnesota. He grew up in Northwest Iowa and graduated from Paullina High School. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Army. After serving a tour with the Army, Brett decided to pursue a business career and became the owner of a bar and restaurant. His love of country drew him back to the Army. He rejoined in 1985 and remained active duty, serving in Germany, Kuwait, and Korea until 2000.

There will be no LEO escort. The PGR will escort Funeral Director from Hamilton’s to Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter, Iowa.
All traffic regulations and speeds will be obeyed. At no time are any escorts to be blocking intersections.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
