Bret D. Isenhower Comment

  1. Mission Complete:11 May, 2019-6th Annual SGT Bret D. Isenhower Memorial 5 K Run, Seminole, OK.

On Saturday, May 11, 2019 there were 5 Patriot Guard Riders in 5 cages who attended the 6th Annual SGT Bret D. Isenhower Memorial 5K Run in Seminole, OK.

It was a cloudy, dreary day as we staked out the sidewalk with the American Flags and 1 Army Service Flag, and a short briefing was held.

The runners lined up right before 8a.m. for a briefing and a moment of silence for all Gold, Silver and Blue Star families, as well as a prayer for those souls lost, and those still active at home and abroad. The Star Spangled Banner was played as the 30 foot American Flag was raised by the Seminole Fire Department Fire Truck.

The starter gun was fired at straight up 8a.m., and everyone cheered on the runners as they crossed the start line, As time went on the runners began to make their way back to the finish line where everyone cheered them on and Patriot Guard Riders passed out medals to all the runners.

A good time was had by all, and I send out a Thank You to all who participated in the event, and to the 4 Riders for attending the day’s event with me.

Thank you SGT Bret D. Isenhower for your ultimate sacrifice for this great country of ours.

    Respectfully,
    RCIC Jeff “Poppa Bear” Huff
