It is with heavy heart that I must inform you that American has lost another True American Hero.
The family of BMSC Roger Lee Lynch (Ret) has requested the Patriot Guard to Stand a Silent Flag line for their loved one. Mr. Lynch passed away on 16 September 2016, at the age of 72.
He served in the US Navy as a Boatswain Mate Senior Chief during the Vietnam War. He also served in the Gulf of Mexico during the Mariel Boat lift in 1980. He faithfully served his country for 22 ½ years. His awards and commendations in the Good Conduct Medal X 4, Humanitarian Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, NDSM, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and an Honorable discharge.
The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to be pallbearers. Volunteers are requested to wear long white sleeve PGR shirts if available. We will be honored to do so. We shall stand a SILENT FLAG LINE and offer a final hand salute for this True Patriot and Hero. LEO – Yes.
