ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Billy Ross Davenport has requested the Patriot Guard Riders stand in honor of their fallen hero. Mr. Davenport served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam as a 2nd Lieutenant. Upon his return, he worked in various locations in a law enforcement capacity. He was employed as a motorcycle officer for the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. While serving as the Chief of Police for Lakeland, Missouri, the St. Louis Globe Democrat recognized him as the number one ticket writer in the state of Missouri for 1983. Mr. Davenport served his country and community his entire life. Please come out to honor this man and his service.

Special Instructions:
Mission briefing will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, July 21 so we can have the flag line planted prior to the service’s start of 3 pm. Following the service, we will provide an escort to the Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Rocky Mount which is approximately 8 miles, for interment with full military honors.
The weather is expected to be 95+ degrees with high humidity. Ice water will be provided. Please keep hydrated.
The Ride Captain is recovering from surgery, so if anyone can assist in this mission, please call him.
