The family of PFC Bernard Persky has graciously requested the Patriot Guard Rider’s presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest.
PFC Persky faithfully served his Country in the U.S. Army and performed duties as a Field Lineman. During PFC Persky’s service, he served in Central Europe, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and wounded in combat while in Germany.
At the end of WWII, PFC Persky was released from military duty for the convenience of the Government. Upon completion of his military service, he received an Honorable Discharge and awarded a World War II Victory Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Expeditionary Bar, Good Conduct Medal (2nd award), Purple Heart Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal w/ 4 Devices.
