Honor Mission
Bernard E. Wenzel
USN, USNR – Korea
Saginaw, Michigan – 10-09-19

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family to stand a silent flag line in honor of Mr. Bernard E. Wenzel’s service to our country. Mr. Wenzel served in the United States Navy on active duty from 1950 thru 1951 attaining the rank of Seaman 3rd Class. Bernard served on the Fletcher Class Destroyer, USS Wedderburn DD-684 during active duty, and served an additional 5 years in the Navy Reserves thereafter. Mr. Wenzel was employed at Saginaw Controls as an electrician, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and working in his yard. Mr. Wenzel is survived by six children and many extended family members. Please join us to stand our flag line to honor his service to our country, and to support his family in this time of grief.
