ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of veteran Bernard “Bernie” F. Correll, 94, United States Coast Guard, has requested the Patriot Guard Riders participate in his funeral, escort and graveside service. Bernie graduated from Ogallala High School in 1942 and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1943-1946..

Funeral:  1:30 p.m.
Following the funeral service, weather permitting, the PGR will escort Bernie to his final resting place at the Kearney Cemetery. The PGR shall stand a flag line during the graveside service.  Military honors provided by the American Legion Post 52 and Kearney Veterans Foreign Wars Post 759 in conjunction with the United States Coast Guard Honors Team.

I will forever be grateful for his service, sacrifice, and dedication to our country. Rest easy now, Sir…those you have left behind to carry on without you have the watch.
