ABOUT THE MISSION:
The MD Patriot Guard is honored to be invited by the family of SP4 Ashby “Buster” G. Wood, 69, of Port Tobacco, MD to honor him by standing a Flag Line during his visitation at the Raymond Funeral Home, and then escorting him to his final resting place in Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery. SP4 Buster Wood died peacefully on 11 March 2019 in the Charles County Hospice House, surrounded by his family. He was a proud US Army Vietnam era Veteran who was discharged in 1971. Among his awards and commendations are the National Defense Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He was a self- employed used car salesman who enjoyed riding motorcycles immensely and was an avid Redskins fan. He is survived by a large and loving family. He will be missed by all.
