ABOUT THE MISSION:
Born in Fort Hood, Texas, on December 28, 1949, he served in the 9th Infantry at Vietnam from 1966-1969, re-enlisted as Military Police in 1969, and discharged in 1975 as a Sergeant in the United States Army. Over the years, he had many occupations and hobbies. He served as a police officer, detective, traffic manager, Vice President in sales, and retired as a Music Man to bring joy and comfort to the elderly. His hobbies included computer gaming, flying, singing, playing guitar, and spending time with his grandchildren

The Patriot Guard Riders will stage at the Visitor’s Center, DFW National Cemetery. Following the mission briefing, Big flag honor bikes will move to the staging lane and prepare to escort the coach. The remaining Riders will proceed to the Shelter and stand the Flag Line for the Committal Service of Mr. Dowdy. At the conclusion of the Service, Flags will be furled and Riders dismissed.Social distancing will be maintained and face coverings utilized.
