ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Mr. Armando J. Baglione has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his funeral services. Mr. Baglione, 95, passed on April 19, 2018.Born in Rotterdam Junction, NY, Armando was a true American Patriot, and proud US Army Veteran. He served during WWI from January of 1943 to November of 1945. He was assigned to the 60th Engineering Combat Batallion with an MOS of 035, Bridge Builder, he had assignments in the Ardennes, Central Europe, Normandy, Northern France and the Rhineland. For his service, he was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Service Medal and the WWII Lapel Button, and was honorably discharged at the rank of Technician 5.
He later worked for, and retired from the Albany County Highway Department and was a longtime member of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society.
The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to have the opportunity to stand for and render dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Mr. Armando J. Baglione, proud US Army WWII veteran and member of the “Greatest Generation”.
