Hernandez served in Rhineland and Central Europe during WWII in the Infantry. He served in the US Army from 4/4/41 to 11/28/45. After completion of service he received an Honorable Discharge. Medals and Awards: American Defense Service Medal\, American Theater Service Medal WWII\, Victory Medal European African Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal w/ 2 Bronze Stars 7 Overseas Service Bars and Good Conduct Medal.\nCPL.
