Pinckney\, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Rider presence at his military honors funeral services. \nWhen/Where:\nFriday\, August 26\, 2016\nAlbany\, NY \nLRC:\nRay Sestak\nrayspgrny@gmail.com \nNarrative:\nHis obituary reads\, in part; “Andy graduated from CBA\, Class of ’62.  He attended college at Villanova\, Mt. Saint Mary and Marist majoring in History and Accounting.  Taking a break from college he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Viet Nam as a machine gunner from 1966 to 1968 and was awarded the Purple Heart fighting for his country.  Andy worked many construction jobs in his younger years and was co-owner of Central News in Albany until the late 1970’s.  He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2006 after 20 years of service.” \nDuring his service\, Andy attained the rank of Corporal (E-4).  He was awarded the Purple Heart\, the National Defense Service Medal\, Vietnam Service Ribbon\, RVN Vietnam Campaign Ribbon and the Marine Corps Sharpshooter Badge. \nThe Patriot Guard Riders are honored to be able to stand and display honor\, dignity and respect for the life and service of Andrew M. Pinckney\, Jr.\, a proud United States Marine.
