SUMMARY:Andrew L. Walter\, 70\, USN
DESCRIPTION:Andrew Lawson Walter\, 70\nUSN\, Vietnam\nEllijay\, GA\n16 JUL 16\n\n\n\nThe family of Radarman Third Class Andy Walter have requested the Patriot Guard Riders be present during his celebration of life service at the First Baptist Church of Ellijay. It will be our honor to fulfill that request and stand a silent flag line of respect and honor.\nPetty Officer Walter served his country in the U.S. Navy serving aboard the USS WILTSIE (DD-716) from September 1965 until his release from active duty in September 1969. He earned the Vietnam Service Medal\, Vietnam Campaign Medal\, and the National Defense Service Medal. A brother-in-law of Mr. Walter is a South Alabama PGR member. \nThis will be a flag line only mission for the visitation and service. \nStaging: NLT 9:30 AM\nFirst Baptist Church of Ellijay\n164 Dalton Street\nEllijay\, Georgia 30540 \nStage in the large parking lot adjacent to the church that is bordered to the east by South Sand Street and to the west by North Gilmer Street. \nWe will stand a silent flag line during the visitation from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. We will then move our flag line into the church and provide a silent flag line during the approximate 1 hour service. Military honors will be given by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard during the service. After the rendering of military honors we will quietly exit the church. \nCurrent weather forecast in Ellijay calls for high temperature around 91 degrees with 60% rain chance. Due to flag line only\, cages might be the better choice. Please plan accordingly and remember to hydrate.\n\nRCIC\nByron “Gimpy” Hall\nbplayer46@gmail.com\n770-883-8175
