Florida National Cemetery will be holding their quarterly service for our American Heroes. Please bring your 3 X 5 American flags and stand in Honor and Respect for our Heroes.

Honor Mission

American Heroes
Columbia, South Carolina – 23 Feb 2018

ABOUT THE MISSION:

On 23 February at 12:00 p.m., at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Legionnaires from American Legion Post 193 of Chapin, SC will lay to rest three unclaimed veterans from Lexington County. They have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor these veterans as they are being interred. It will be our honor.

They are:

U.S. Army Veteran Glenn Duncan, Jr.
U.S. Air Force Airman Dennis Reidy, Vietnam Veteran
U.S. Air Force Airman First Class Raymond Gerard
These three Veterans honorably and faithfully served their country when called upon to do so and deserve to be buried with the honor and dignity they have earned. The American Legion, Patriot Guard Riders, Vietnam Veterans of America, The Veterans of Foreign Wars, and many other veterans from across the state will ensure that these three heroes receive the honorable and dignified interment they deserve.

Briefing: 11:15 a.m.at the Administration Building

After the briefing, we will proceed together to the committal shelter to establish a flag line for the arrival of the procession. We will maintain the flag line throughout the service.

Escort Information:

American Legion Post 193 invites Patriot Guard Riders and other riders to ride with the escort if desired. The procession will leave from: Chapin Town Hall at 157 NW Columbia Avenue, Chapin, SC, 29036
