  1. AFTER ACTION REPORT – 05 June 2019, No One Attending Ceremony, Fort Gibson, OK

Five Patriots on three bikes and a couple of cages gathered to show respect for those who were interred during the month of May 2019 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery without family attending. Flags were staked around the Committal Shelter and a briefing was held to discuss the mission. We had a new member join us who made the ride in from Oklahoma City. We then gathered at the Committal Shelter where Pastor Kirk of the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center had a few words and song for those attending. The VFW Honor Guard presented honors following the live playing of Taps by Bugles Across America with twin “shadow” bugles. The PGR then made its presentation reading our Invocation and presenting letters for each of seven hero’s honored today:
    PFC Marion Bryant USA WWII
    SP4 James Girardot USA Vietnam
    SGT David Stice USMC Vietnam
    A1C Eugene Johnson USAF Veteran
AN Lawrence Hughes Jr USN Persian Gulf
    SN Ricky Batalo USN Veteran
SSGT Ryan Brubaker USAF Persian Gulf

We thank both Fort Gibson National Cemetery and Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center for inviting the PGR to join in this monthly ceremony. Also, thanks to those who gave up their time to pay tribute and stand for these seven heroes. Thanks most of all to these seven heroes for your selfless service to our great country. Your service will never be forgotten.

    Sincerely,
    Dan “Big D” Koehling
