Honor Mission
American Heroes, Missing In America Project, Veteran

Missing In America Project (MIAP) has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to escort the cremains of two previously unclaimed Veterans from the Myrtle Beach, SC area to their final resting place at Florence National Cemetery. The two honorably discharged US Army veterans include: Specialist 4 Thomas Francis Stallard, who served June 10, 1965 to May 16, 1967 and Specialist 5 John Thomas Barnes, III, who served June 20,1967 to June 22, 1973. These two Veterans honorably and faithfully served their Country when called upon to do so and deserve to be buried with the honor and dignity they have earned. The Patriot Guard Riders are honored to be a part of this mission. This is a rain or shine mission.

Special Instructions:

Briefing at 12:45 PM.
After the briefing, we will escort the MIAP transport vehicle to Florence National Cemetery.
KSU at 1:00 PM.
We will have LEO assistance from the Aynor Police Department and Horry County Police. Upon arrival at Florence National Cemetery, riders will safely park as directed by FNC staff and join the flag line that is already in place.
Service begins at 2:00 PM. If a service is still in progress when we arrive, we will park outside the cemetery entrance until directed to enter.

Special Instructions:

Briefing at 1:45 PM.
The ceremony is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
After the briefing, we will establish a flag line and hold it until the ceremony is completed. Riders who were on the escort will join the flag line upon arrival. The Florence National Cemetery Honor Guard will provide full Military Honors. Daughters of the American Revolution will stand in as family to receive the Flags from the Honor Guard. If there is a service preceding this one, stop outside the entrance until directed to enter.
