ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care to be family and pallbearers, to stand in silent honor for an U.S. Army American Hero, then escort and lead a procession to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies for the interment.  Our American Hero proudly served from 1973-1976 with honor, now its our turn to stand in honor for him.  Requesting at least 6 pallbearers to please contact RCIC, Aaron Zeff by phone or by email and to arrive at the funeral home by 9:30 am.

Interment with military honors is scheduled for 10:30 AM.  Members can attend all of a Mission or any part of the Mission.  PGR sets no time for a member to Stand a Mission.  We Thank you for whatever time you give us and the families of our Heroes appreciate your time.  This time of year deer are on the move, please be aware & alert of your surroundings also before heading out, please watch the weather, dress accordingly and hydrate Remember that the National Cemetery is a Federal Reservation and NO WEAPONS are permitted.

We have a NNOK service schedule for Tuesday for a US Army veteran who served during the Vietnam era. No family will be attending; I believe the flag will be presented to the funeral director’s father, a fellow veteran.
