ABOUT THE MISSION:

Alvin Zettler is a United States Air Force Veteran. He proudly served his country from 1949 to 1952. Alvin’s MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was 29331 – Radio Operator. Alvin served 1year,7 months, and 11 days in overseas service. In November of 1951, he was promoted to Airman First Class (E3). His last duty station was Castle Air Force Base, California. Airman First Class Alvin Zettler was honorably discharged in December 1952. During his service to our country, Alvin was awarded the UN Service Medal; Korean Service Medal; Army of Occupation Medal.  It is our honor to stand in silent reverence as we show respect and gratitude to this hero for his sacrifices made for this nation.

Although all prior statewide mandates have been lifted at staging locations, all members must still adhere to the following:*All members are required to carry a face mask/cloth covering at all times during the mission. There are still partners (funeral homes, cemeteries, churches) that may require masks to be worn as well as social distancing. Some families may also request masks/face coverings be worn. We will always respect their wishes.*If you wish to wear a face mask at a mission, you are free to do so.*If you feel ill or have a temperature, please stay home until you improve.*Flag support can begin with the normal procedure of water and snacks for members.  While disinfecting the poles is always a good idea, it is no longer required.

Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water will be provided.
